A pair of fine silver George II candlesticks with multi-knopped stems above square bases, with a dished square well and gadrooned edges.
Made by silversmith William Cafe, London, 1758. John Cafe was a London based silversmith renowned for the quality and beauty of his fine cast silver candlesticks. At his death in 1757, his brother William took over the business, successfully continuing the production of candlesticks until 1772
