A magnificent four branch centrepiece epergne
A magnificent four branch centrepiece epergne very much in the Victorian style but just possibly dating to the Edwardian period. Finely worked and wrought in silverplate, the epergne bears a clear mark to the renowned silver and plate dealers Israel Freeman & Son; and the five bowls are likely to have been made by the glassworks of Frederick Stuart - an exceptional mark of quality. A fine piece in remarkable condition with no recognisable damage to the crystal and very good integrity on the silver.
Main bowl is 29 x 52cm and the four smaller bowls are 13cm diameter. Beautiful and really quite rare
