A rare early 19th Century Mughal Emperor Akbar Shah II rosewood & brass inlay travelling jewellery casket constructed throughout using only the finest solid Indian rosewood. The casket maintains its original bevelled plate mirrors, gilt églomisé panels, handles, brass work and locks. Lined throughout in fine Mughal velvet in the most vibrant colours of precious gemstones, Ruby red, Emerald green, Yellow diamond & Sapphire blue, the casket contains a conundrum of hidden drawers with unique opening mechanisms, as well as a myriad of trays, bespoke compartments, boxes and individual drawers.
